Bigfoot and the Boy

Sharing a project that my daughter and I are doing.  I'm not quite sure what it will turn into, but it feels special.  Mia is 6 years old and she watches me draw all the time.  Every once in a while, she will sit down beside of me and pick up a Sharpie.  This time she saw me sketching a little camping boy and decided to make a drawing to go with mine.  Bigfoot appeared!  I was amazed.  I absolutely loved her drawing.  Of course, I had to photograph it immediately.  I shared the two drawings side by side on instagram and we received such a wonderful response.  I read each comment to Mia and one - from Kim Ludy of ethanollie - grabbed her attention.  Kim suggested that we make mother/daughter diptychs.  Needless to say, we took her idea and ran with it.  The video is of our progress so far.  The drawings might turn into prints, collected to make a little book, or just framed and displayed in our home.  Whatever the end result, the time we are spending on the project is priceless.  I can't begin to describe how I feel when Mia asks for a Sharpie.  I'm really looking forward to discovering what Bigfoot and the boy will do next.
